Single Cut, Handle
Features
- Taper files are triangular and designed for filing a variety of saws. The file has cut edges for filing gullets between saw teeth.
- Bastard cut files are the coarsest files and have the fewest teeth per inch. They are used for heavy stock removal.
- Single cut files consist of one set of parallel, diagonal teeth extended across the face of the file. They are used for sharpening or to produce a smooth finish.
- Handles are attached to the file and are commonly made of wood or plastic. Some files have integrated handles that are molded into the file material.
